Someone I know is selling all his golf gear as he has had enough of golf supposedly. Now, he has an almost new G20 3 wood which I have my eye on. He's suggested a part exchange deal where I give him my G10 3 wood and £50 for his G20. My G10 is in fairly decent condition but has a few sky marks and a bit of bag rub on the shaft.

Should I be snapping his hand off or should I look elsewhere?

If he is giving up golf, why would he want your old one?

And be prepared to look at your driver and 5 wood and think hmmm G20's.... this could start with a good deal, but turn expensive!!

After much thought I have decided against it. My handicap is very generous in my opinion and I don't want to have brand new state of the art clubs to destroy and devalue. I'll stick with my clubs I have for the time being, save some money up and then blow it all on a new set in 2013 hopefully. I thought I could stretch to upgrading everything over the coming weeks by using trusty old credit card but my conscience got the better of me.
