Golf Weekend / Stag do in the sun, help please!

Im getting married next June, so obviously theres a stag do to attend.

Now, i dont want any crazy weekend in vegas, or prague or even amsterdam. As 90% of the people on the stag will be golfers, i want to head to spain / portugal for a long weekend, something like 3 nights, 2 rounds of golf, stuff for the non golfers to do, decent night life where we can go out for a few in the evening etc. Thinking of going in March.

I have been looking at golf breaks and some others, but was wondering if anyone on here can recomend a good place based on their own experience.

You will be struggling to find "nightlife" in March in Spain or Portugal.

Even Vilamoura or PB will be decidedly quiet at that time of year.

Better going early May when at least there will be a bit of life in the evening otherwise it'll be you and your buddies sitting looking at each other or swapping golf story's with other golfers if you go in March.

Excellent course and I'm sure the resorts will offer a good bit of Stag entertainmen ( if a bit early in teh season)

Tenerife is a year round resort. You will find nothing better in Las Americas than The Dubliner. The golf is expensive as The People from The Scandinavian countries come downas they are frozen out.

There are 3/4 golf courses near Los Americas but I would avoid Amarrillo Golf.

If you google Golf breaks you will be spoilt for choice

The only thing is we are kind of restricted to March, as our season, like most peoples, starts to kick off in April, and on my current like of invitee's is next years captain, vice captain so its difficult to find a free weekend for them. as well as the county team matches start to kick off and most of the lads that would be playing, would be coming away on the weekend. So myself and my best man have gone through the fixtures and come up with two weekends in March which suits everyone!

I went to portugal for my stag do and played at morgado (decent but long)and Pine cliffs only a 9 holer but fantastic at the same time.

Ive also played Penina which is a top course.

I'm sure if you go early may there will be a decent nightlife, i would pick a location to stay then pick your courses to play. If you stay in vilamoura you have more choice of courses that are closer.
