Golf socks.

I got some 'golf' socks given to me at Christmas. They're essentially like wearing two thin pairs of socks. I think the theory is that if there's any rubbing it's done 'sock to sock' as it were, rather than foot to sock.

They are quite comfortable, but no more comfortable than wearing two thin pairs of socks.

Am I really contributing to a thread about socks?

Blimey  :D

Good fitting quality cotton socks from M&S are perfect. I've tried 'proper' golf socks and they make no difference over decent 'ordinary' socks IMO.

Are you sure???

100%

Did extensive research and recorded the data on an excell spreadsheet which I correlated with the leading manufacturers findings both here and the USA. The irrefutable conclusion was a sock is a sock!

I know there are a lot of guys on here who have had bad experiences on there, but i have had several really good used golf socks from fleabay - you really cant tell the difference at our standard

You really should get custom fitted for them to take advantage of the full affect.

Just back from my sock fitting. I'm an 8.3245 apparently,no wonder my drives were bad in my standard size 8 socks. It definitely has made a difference. Once fitted the pro took me on the range, I was hitting my PW 300 yards. My 3 wood was hitting the balls out of the range. Best £20 I ever spent.

Good golf socks will allow you to hit the ball much further and straighter. I would go and buy a dozen pairs straight away.

I can vouch for that.

I managed to take my golf shoes off after my round yesterday, change my socks, and then put one ordinary shoe and one golf shoe back on yesterday. :o That's what comes with changing in a carpark Smiffy !!

It shows how bad this sport is when we are even worried about and question the underwear we have on! Their socks man...

........ Everyone knows that your socks only matter if you cat 1 or better
