Golf Random Irritations

I wanted to warm up in the nets before play yesterday but some have taken to them as a practice area rather than using using the range. No chance to get on one.
First 4 holes saw me top the or hit the ball nowhere near the middle for the first 4 holes.
Winning score was 37 points I got 32 I dropped 5 points on the first 4 holes.
This can happen at my course quite often, so I have a few wiffle balls in my bag that I can hit hard in the short practice area near the nets.

I'm also hitting off grass, which is much better for my bad back!

Golf Australia taking 3 days to upgrade website......I have worked in computers all my life and never seen any company go offline and take 3 days for an upgrade.

Greenkeeper's revenge scramble on Saturday - and weather report is currently predicting 40+mph winds. As if the course wasn't going to be set-up difficult enough. :ROFLMAO: Will be the worst-scoring greenkeeper's revenge of all time I should think.

We have the same at ours but due to the effort and it takes to set it all up and the forecast weather conditions it has been postponed to the following Saturday.

That might be your opinion but I find it one of the most enjoyable days of the year, it's a great laugh. We even won it one year. 🤷🏻
It is and I’m sticking to it.
Had one at my old club about 15 years ago. First hole pin was half way up the slope of a two tier green. Took about 10 minutes to hole out. One guy had an 11 putt. Absolute farce.

Couldn’t even leave the pin in to help back then.

Dunno if it’s the correct term but in recent weeks I’m ‘crossing my hands/arms’ on the downswing but only with one club, the hybrid. Naturally this is giving a rather brutal hook to the ball flight. Tried another hybrid this morning at range and same thing. No matter what tweaks I try my right hand is still on top of the left at impact

Doesn’t happen with irons/3W or driver
Luckily it is a limited use club for me & maybe not even used in a round but still bloomin annoying

Well it would be a strange old world if we all had the same idea of fun I guess. 😃 My club does it near Halloween with a 'trick or treat' kind of theme, so on some of the holes there will be a ramp that helps you rather than making it harder. So that keeps it moving a little. On some holes as well you just roll a dice to decide what club everyone has to hit, so it's not all silly slopes and whatnot.

I’m failing to see how playing that would be fun! Think I’d rather go to the range.
It would be fun up to a point. But, when it becomes ridiculous, where the outcome is almost completely extreme crazy golf and random, then not for me at all.

In the photos I would definitely be feeling an aggressive shot to scratch paint or cause partial damage to green keeping equipment would be fully deserved.
