Playing in the club stableford today, a wild slice off the tee seemingly over the trees and obviously OOB. Reload, stating "no point calling this a provisional, 3 off the tee". Second attempt pulled left into a gorse bush. Walking down the hole, see my first ball sitting on the fairway. Words somewhat less civilised than "oh bother" were uttered.
Note to self: ALWAYS announce "provisional", just in case a miracle happens.

Losing another ball in a practice knock when you already lost two on Friday.

Losing to two career putts from distance that you could hit another 100 times at that pace and wouldn't go in and a golfing bounce that felt like a kick in the meat and two veg when I got the ball with no shot
