So quite clearly the player didn’t think it was a straight putt and actually had 2 percentage of slope using his feet , eyes and chart

There was no agreeing or disagreeing with you - I thought I was being helpful by positing a very simple guide which would have explained to you why he put up 2 fingers

Yeah so, as I've said, you missed the crucial bit of context. Was just a tongue in cheek remark back to imurg that he wouldn't need the fingers up if it was a straight putt. But the joke has been murdered now so cheers for that.

I readily admit that I'm not too au fait with Aimpoint but it seems to me to it has some relation to the pendulum method - but nowhere near as accurate!!

My odyssey two ball putter.

During the week the club put some fertiliser on the greens. The balls and your shoes were caked in the stuff. Anyway I had a look at my putter when I got home and it was caked in the fertiliser stuff. Gave the club a good clean and it looks like the bottom of the club is pitted. I tried taking the weight off the bottom and the Allen key hole is rounded with it being cheap metal

In Edinburgh for weekend played Prestonfield Thursday enjoyable round and was not busy Friday walked in after 14 stuck behind 4x4 balls, yesterday played Duddingston at 3.20pm where there was competition on and was pleasantly surprised how quite it was never even saw anyone in front.

Duddingston was definitely the best course of the two and really enjoyed that round.

Interestingly I played Prestonfield yesterday with a local lad and he used to be a member of Duddingston, he didn’t feel welcomed when he was a junior there so he left and joined Prestonfield which he thinks is a better course.

Plus Duddingston is £95 a round (£55 twilight). as opposed to Prestonfield cost of £55 (£35) I preferred Duddingston but £95 a round is a bit overpriced imo.

I’m playing Duddingston again today on a twilight rate.

My society stopped doing weekend trips after a while. The last player came off and threw his club's down in disgust on a Sunday round. After being asked what he shot and replying 103 he was informed that he actually had won.
