I need new grips and was looking at different types available. I know i want the cord multi compound grips but GP seem so excessive and the Sharpro are only £3 a grip. Can anyone tell me if they are good grips v the GP please ? I like the little ridge on the GP for the right hand and want the same in any alternative grips so if anyone has any suggestions be so grateful as i am grip blinded now

I've had them and they are fine for me - though i'm pretty easy on grips. I think that's the one I 'prefer' though - not a huge amount of cord, but enough.

The 'reminder', also my preference, can be fudged with some plastic 'wire'. It actually started with the wire, before being 'built in'.

Sharpro performance when wet may be suspect, but not often encountered and I'm quick to get the rain glove/Macwet out!

I found Sharpro grips to be OK but a little thin compared to GP versions
I don't know the actual numbers but a extra layer or 2 of tape may be needed
