They say that golfers are easy to buy presents for.
What golf related presents have you had over the years... good and bad and what would you like in the future? HID might be looking on :)

I'll have a V-Easy please Bob ;)

I don't tend to get golf presents from the misses, she knows i'm fussy with what golf gear I buy so she wouldn't risk it without asking. Now my mother that's another story. Every year I get a golf gift from my mother, it's normaly whatever M&S are doing in the golf gift range that year. I've had ball retreivers, pitch mark repairers (like a pen knife) Tee pouch, club brushes ohh, and the piste to resistance, a horrid little plastic gadget you put on the end of your putter for picking the ball up. I shouldn't be so ungrateful but I tell her not to bother each year.

Loads of Golf presents over the years...

Best ones.....

Last Birthday - Motocaddy s3 Digital trolley
30th Birthday - Ping i3 irons 3 - SW

Worst ones......No such thing as a bad present in my opinion. I graciously accept all the dodgy ones in the spirit in which they are given.

Golf ball soap on a rope many years ago was probably the worse although the digital score counter thing I got for Christmas (via M&S) was probably a close second.

HID and my mum are pretty good though and I normally say I need x or y and they'll give me some money towards it.

I have finally trained my family and they now appreciate that golf balls are not a boring present and are one of the most useful things they can give. Last xmas, 3 dozen PX3s, perfect.

My family refuse to buy me balls for Christmas and birthdays.

Best present so far, was, from the wife. My subs for joining a golf club this year. Particularly now that I have the time (sorry, had, the time!) to play.

And enough money from my playing partners for a course of lessons and a G10 3 wood.

It has to be said that was for my 40th. So I can't expect it every year!

Shame.

Im taking it Veasy this year, just waiting for the nod Bob!

As far as others go, I have had a couple of rounds paid for on decent tracks, which is nice, had some of the stuff I wanted bought for me which is nice.

Then you get the eager to please family members who buy these awful christmas golfer gifts that you just want to throw in the bin but smile anyway. But the worst thing I got was a plastic hooded rain cape that never saw the light of day. :D

do you do it in any other colour?
I'm afraid not. As it is being sold through YES!!! it was sampled in their colours, mainly black, mailny white and mainly yellow. Although I liked it in white, almost everyone preferred the black version so there it is.
What colour were you thinking about?

For my 30th last month I got the bag and two woods listed below and Christmas was the hybrid and putter.

Previous christmas was alsorts of c**p including the plastic ball picker upper for the putter and digital scorer.

Actually the digital scorer was quite good as it had a digital clock on it, I don't like wearing a watch when I play.

I hate it when you get given one of those M&S gift set thingys with 3 rocks and a handkercief towel! The balls are no good even for the practice bag.

My wife, bless, avoids buying any golf related stuff unless she has the total info required as she knows I am a bit fussy.

Son gives great golf gifts as he knows my game better than I do. Gave me my hybrid which is soooo sweet.
