This might be a tough ask, but I'm looking for a course to play near Grimsby that fits the following:

Be able to get a couple of tee times on a Saturday afternoon.
Easy enough for occasional golfers.
Interesting enough for very good players.
Reasonably cheap with or without 2-4-1's (£30 max, preferably nearer £20)
Can be South of Grimsby (travelling from Leicester) but not more than a few miles north.

Is there anything that way that fits the bill?

Grimsby, Elsham, Normanby Hall, Forest Pines.

Elsham and Normanby maybe, Forest pines and Grimsby are a little tough to play.

Laceby Manor is a pretty easy track, I had a pretty poor day there recently and shot 86 with about 5 7s on the card and a trip or two into hazards.

Waltham Windmill is also a quiet course and is easier than Grimsby and Forest Pines which are both quite tricky even off the yellows.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think Normanby Hall looks favourite of all of those.

Laceby is cheap enough but Normanby is so cheap it would be rude not to :)

I would agree with the above post by Scienceboy but you have it bang on the mark with Normanby Hall.

That would be my first suggestion.

Grimsby will probably not have a slot on Saturdays - all comps booked up at the moment.

Forrest Pines is fun but tight and is a bit on the expensive side.

agree with the above, Normandy Hall is a decent track, will suit all golfers regardless of ability.

. . just so long as the wind doesn't blow

I'd put Grimsby back in the mix if you can get the tees, really enjoyed that one
