Golf Insurance, Have you got some?

I use Golf Shield.. I know policies aren't overly expensive, but I like the option to pay it month-to-month rather than in a lump sum.

Does anyone know if there are any big weasel clauses in their policy?

For instance, do the insurers insist on a handicap....(some of us don't have an official one).

With Golfcare.....not sure about the handicap.I would think "why should you have to have one"?

But I think for hole in one's it has to be in a comp,to claim.

Yep I'm with Golfcare. Reasonable cost TBH never claimed though that's when you find out how good they are.

Yearly basic cover - £1500 limit on equipment - £23
Monthly basic cover - £2000 limit on equipment - £2.30 a month

You can't go wrong as both have 60 day worldwide cover, golf club locker cover and daytime unattended vehicle cover

I'll try and remember this as it sounds a great deal for such a small premium

My club membership provides cover for personal liability, personal accident, and some accidental damage cover etc, but decided it would be best to have own full cover for complete peace of mind. Was with E&L but if I remember right they have this peculiar lunar monthly premium, so you pay 13 monthly premiums a year! Changed to Golf Care last year as it seemed very reasonable, and am renewing this year - but they included optional excess waiver for £6 in the renewal quote, so I exercised my option to have it removed! Premium still gone up by £10pa from last year's intro offer though; if it goes up again next year I will look elsewhere.

Doesn't car insurance cover the 'unattended vehicle cover' if you leave items in the boot?

Am covered on the home insurance contents and 3rd party liability if anything untoward should happen which I hope not.
