Off to Bridgewater, Taunton for Easter weekend with a mate, his wife and kids. Stuck a deal with our wives, they go horse riding Saturday, leaving us to play golf on the Sunday. Only issue is where? Any recommendations?

Hi,
I live in Taunton where you have plenty of choice.
Just outside Bridgwater is Enmore gc,thats a lovely course, plenty of practice area.
Also if required a very nice clubhouse to have lunch with the wives.
Failing there Taunton and Pickeride gc or Oak Manor both just outside Taunton.
With those 3 you wont go wrong.
If your looking for more expensive Burnham and Berrow

Agree with what Pokerjoke said. There is also Taunton vale which which is a lot better than it was a few years back. But I'm a member of Enmore and you won't go wrong with that plus you don't need to book a tee time just turn up and play. I will check the fixture list to make sure the Sunday is free

I would of course recommend Taunton & Pickeridge. Too late now though! Enmore just as nice. Wouldn't recommend Taunton Vale. Oake is lovely, but very slow greens. There is also Vivary... Again, I wouldn't recommend, although it is a very tough/tight course.
