Cheers for that, they did mention something was happening on the Sunday. I may well change my round to Blairgowrie on the Sunday after 4pm anyway and play the other on the Monday as I'll have more time on the Sunday, and may only get 9 in on the Monday. And from what I've read The Rosemount sounds a bit special so want to make sure I get the full 18 in.

As Toad said, Rosemount is in fantastic condition at the moment. The greens are the best they have been for years and the whole place is gearing up for the Junior Ryder Cup September. Lansdowne is also hosting the PGA Championship final at the beginning of August so is in great nick too. Playing after 4pm will still leave you plenty of time as it doesn't get dark up here until well after 9pm and a round should take no more than three and a half hours.
If you think you will only have time for 9 holes on Monday, then the Wee Course is brilliant too.

Played the Rosemount once before and loved it. Also played the Lansdowne and it wasn't as interesting / nice a course, but still in good nick. Very enjoyable. You'll like it there! Hopefully I'll be getting another round on the Rosemount for our annual trip to Scotland in Oct.

Many thanks for those that recommended the Rosemount. Played it yesterday and it was gorgeous. 30 quid for a round, rain held off and no one was behind me, absolute quality.

Only slight down side were the hire clubs that, as I am a lefty, were about 20 years old (apart from bizarrely enough a Jetspeed driver). I last tried to hit a 3 iron about 15 years ago, and now I remember why. But still a fantastic experience. And full membership at £725, wish I lived up this part of the world.
