hi everyone.

Does anyone know if you are able to carry your clubs on those fancy Virgin trains? I am planning a game in Scotland with our kid but CBA driving all the way there!

Will only be one of those stand bags so its not over big, however in all my time catching trains have never seen anyone transporting them.

cheers :)

Doubt you would have to pre book, just make sure you are there early to get some of the luggage space!

Maybe worth a quick call to Virgin to clarify.. Certain trains may have luggage restrictions. i regularly see full kitted golfers with carry bag on trains out of paddington.

cheers rooter!

yeah I thought I would need to call them but unable to do so until tonight. guess I will be ok though thinking of getting weekend 1st ticket so not sat with other rif raff lol:)

I used east coast trains for a year weekly, booked first class tickets every time, don't think there will be an issue taking clubs on but the luggage racks are small so don't think you'd get your clubs in them but they may have bigger luggage compartments on some of the longer journeys though as was the case from Glasgow to kings cross
