Golf club lust

Not lust but a roving eye on a Nike method converge s2-12 putter. Silly name, lovely putter.

Just a pity I've started putting better, after someone posted a video on here.

I lusted after a set of mizuno mp64 irons ever since I saw the pre-release photos of them. One day I walked into AG and they were on sale after they were discontinued, their last set and with my preferred dg s300 shaft. I wasn't in the market for new irons, was pretty happy with my mp53s. But I walked out with them anyway. Got an ok price for the mp53 on eBay, so the "upgrade" cost me about £200.

Had them 18months now and haven't even looked at another set of irons since.

Sometimes it just makes sense to go with your heart.

I'm totally lusting after some Mizuno MP5's. Actually I pretty much lust over the whole Mizuno catalogue all the time. Will resist but, damn you, Mizuno. :D

Just bought said putter  even got some rzn balls to go with it.

I blame you craigy la!

£180 per wedge

I can assure you I did not pay that :)

Got a good price off a guy whose his buddy is a pro and only uses wedges for one season, needless to say they have loads of life left in them for a chopper like me! Struggling with the gap wedges tbf, not sure if it's the stiff shafts, love the 60* though, you can just fly it right at the flag and it checks up.

would love to try one! Do they warrant the price?

I have become a Mizuno fanboy! Had my MP64s 2 years and, to an extent, regret it. Only because maybe if I bought the MP4s instead I wouldn't be drooling over the MP5s so much!

Next season it's time for the upgrade, just need to hope that the MP6s come out in time or are a long way off! Or I could hate them completely but then again, they are Mizuno blades, that's not going to happen!

It's like any premium club, yes they are made from really good stuff, the shafts are high spec etc. But are they really 3 times better than a new Cleveland? Probably not, but when you see it sitting in the bag you know it's a top quality bat and if you nail it it's going to sing. Same as Scottys, Mizzys etc, if you can afford to pay the premium for a premium product then enjoy it, it's your bag. And at the end of the day you're never going to lose a huge amount in the transaction because top quality holds its value longer.
