im organizing my works society golf venues this year
and included will be an overnight stay with 2 rounds played.
Can anyone recommend a decent venue,i guess we are looking for decent golf and a good bar !
we are based just outside Derby so probably not looking for anywhere further than roughly 3 hours away drive ,thanks in advance for any suggestions

I have been going to Farthingstone for the past 5 years. Just outside Northampton so not too far for you. Good challenging golf course with good variety, excellent food and very nice people. Also has its own 16 bed hotel on site.

Well worth a visit.

You could look at greetham valley in Rutland. Just over an hour away, 2 courses, hotel and really good pubs in nearby village if you fancy a change from the hotel

A few of us went to Forest Pines in Lincolnshire last year and had a good time. I'd recommend it.

Footballers also think it is a good place to go :)

I lived within 8 miles of this place ever since it was built and I have never played it, mostly due to the fact I had not really played much golf up until March last year and could barely break 100 :)

thanks ! is woodhall spa a difficult course ?? only we have some pretty high handicappers in the work society and worried they wont enjoy it?
