Not so great if you are looking for history and culture which was originally mentioned. Good for ‘lively’ nightlife though.what about villamoura? i know there lots of hotels, but could we get a villa there?

This sounds goodGolf du Medoc has two great courses, both heathland, has staged the French Open. Lacanau by the coast is really good, golf de Margaux is nice.
There are others round the edge of Bordeaux too, e.g. Bordeaux Lac and Cameyrac, but not as good as the others. A little bit south Gujan Mestras and Arcahon are good too.
All these are under an hour drive from the city centre.
There are various golf passes you can buy which combine 3 or 4 courses which you can play for a discount.
We have always stayed in the city centre, pedestrianised, great wine bars and restaurants.
Maybe you could provide some reviews and feedback for all the trips you’ve been on? You regularly post questions on this forum asking for advice, I’m sure you have lots of experience to share.we are looking to do a 4/5 night europe golf break
would like to twin it with some history and culture….
any where in europe you would suggest to do both?
not the uk or ireland
thanks
With forums i find 3 types of peopleMaybe you could provide some reviews and feedback for all the trips you’ve been on? You regularly post questions on this forum asking for advice, I’m sure you have lots of experience to share.
Correct, but it helps others in the same way you are looking for advice. It makes the forum better if the advice and review pool is deeper. With forums i find 3 types of people
One reads through
One creates reviews
One asks advice
Im not too good at reviewing , but happy to take opinions and reviews
Being part of the forums doesnt mean i have to leave a review, as do 70 percent of members
If not, perhaps it should be renamed Villafewerwhat about villamoura? i know there lots of hotels, but could we get a villa there?
But ive never been , so thats why im asking
On my other enquiries i have responded to anyone asking me about that particular trip
Did your dad come up with that?If not, perhaps it should be renamed Villafewer
He could only dreamDid your dad come up with that?![]()
Please note that unfortunately there is a rather steep drop off in quality from the few top courses in NL to those that the rest of us play on. It's to do with our landscape and golf history. Great courses are Kennemer, Noordwijk, Royal Hague, De Pan, Roosendaelsche (and a few more). Each is a private members club but I believe all offer green fee slots to visitors but please don't take my word for it. I've played Kennemer, Roosensdaelsche and Noordwijk and prefer the latter but all are truly top tier courses. There are some really fancy newer courses too: Bernardus and The International, Links Valley spring to mind. But they're not my personal cup of tea. Finally, there are a whole lot of flattish parkland style courses with lots of water (and mud). The Netherlands has a truly huge amount of history and culture, can be reached by a night on a ferry (makes transport easy) and has several courses that bounce round top 100 lists…
not what i saidYou’ve been on lots of holidays to Europe I’m sure.
In your own words, you’re happy to take opinions and advice, not prepared to give. That doesn’t enrich the forum does it?
not what i said
im happy to answer any questions on any trips i have been on, and happy to give any advise if asked…
why are you trying to cause an argument?
if i am allowed to put questions up, and not give reviews ( which is what i believe is the case ) , then mind your own business
hiw many people briwse trip advisor for info , yet never make a review?
