GoKart Electric Trolley

Get a MK1 one off e bay. Maybe about £100? Cracking bit of kit. I can get two in my boot! The wheels of the second fit inside the folded down one making two easy to get in. Could get two in a Mazda 3 boot along with two sets of clubs. It's a skill!!!!!

I assume the 18 hole lithium battery is good for waaaay over 18 holes? One of the guys I play with just had his trolley disintegrate today and I told him he could have mine for £150 since I was looking at one of these. The battery in my M1 doesn't even lose a light after 18 holes.

I charge mine after every round so I've never really pushed the limits. However, it's never struggled on any course, no matter the length, so I'm sure it could comfortably cope with more than 18. How many more 🤷‍♂️

I'm a nut case. More power! More speed! More.....more!! I haven't played 36 holes in a couple of years so the bigger battery is only there "in case". There really isn't much in the way of YouTube type video's showing the automatic speed control handle and how well it works.

While I aim to recharge after every round, the 18-hole battery has done 36 holes without issues. I recently forgot twice in a row and it eventually conked out on its 52nd hole.

Thanks....that saves £80 right there. Now it's just whether to go with the finger control or auto

My original battery was an 18 hole lead acid, which was always good for 36 holes. When it eventually died I replaced it with an 18 hole lithium which was also good for 36 holes for the first 5 or 6 years. By the time I sold it, I could only get 32 holes out of it.

I now have the MK ii and a 36 hole lithium, which I can get 54 holes out of.

N.B. I don't play 36 holes a day, I leave my battery in my trolley in my locker at the club and take it home for a recharge every 2/3 rounds.

Any opinions on the GoKart accessories?

MK and PK have solid drinks, mobile phone, brolly attachments etc.
My PK drinks holder (which came free with the trolley) broke very quickly. It's now held together with pop rivets and strips of plastic cut from a milk container. I refuse to pay the silly money PK want for another one, given that it will almost certainly break just like the first one.

I've had a Go kart for about 12 years. I send it back occasionally for a service where anything needing replacing is done and (I'm sure) that they give a further warranty. Mostly, if a piece has broken I've got them to post the part to me and fitted it myself. The thing I like best is that I can operate it one handed most of the time, when I've used the trolley's with small handles I have to manoeuvre with both.

I charge up when I get home, so it sounds like the 18 hole will do. I can always nurse it for 36 if I need to.
If you get the finger switch you can always not power it on when flat (it's not that heavy when on flat ground) and it'll definitely last 36 holes.
The auto doesn't give you that option though.

Ahhhhh....that's a good point. That's what I do now with the motocaddy....just leave it off if I'm walking downhill or whenever it just rolls along easily.

If you're going downhill, you'll be pulling back on the handle so it won't be on.
The moment you hit flat though, it may well.

Lord T is coming down to play with our group tomorrow....I'll check to see how easy his old piece of junk (that's a joke son....foghorn leghorn.......although you gotta be pretty old to know who Foghorn Leghorn is) version 1 trolley manual works.
