That was easy. Emailed the club on Monday, today I got confirmation that my membership would end at the end of this month and the club will cancel my direct debit with fairway credit and end all obligations. Nomad from 1st December

Good for you, but this is absolutely crazy from the club.

If enough members do this, surely it impacts on their projected income significantly enough to affect the running of the club.

How are you blessed with courses in the area? Nearest decent one to me is 20 mins, and the other end of the city. Too much hassle. So I have a points membership nearby, an bum guest games off my boss mates at the better courses 😆

The solution is to join a club based on a Municipal course for a nominal fee (typically £50 which covers union fees and therefore handicap) - works for a lot of people!

Which is what I did, worked perfectly for me.

Works quite well

Not many options. To be honest my back has been playing up and the motivation due to personal reasons has not been there. Going to take some time off and spend a couple of months doing family things, start afresh next year
