My knees are knackered from years of footie so it's time for an electric trolley, something I've always said I'd never buy until I'm retired. I'm only 33 so have about another 40 years to go before I retire.

I've read reviews and done my research and I have settled on a 'Go Kart'. Just before I buy one I thought I'd ask you guys because I know I'll get unbiased opinions. Anyone got or tried one?

Cheers

Got one in September 2009 and still on the original 18 hole battery, which will happily do 27 holes when required. Only issue I've had is the lugs on the score card cover shearing off if I close the trolley up without first making sure the cover is closed. On both occasions I've done it, Gokart have sent me a free replacement within 48 hours.

Buy one, you won't regret it.

They a pretty damn good as far as I am concerned

They are plastic and light, fold down small, go like a rocket, stable, good on inclines and dont topple over, easy to assemble. The main thing is that the service back up is legendry and nothing is any trouble, yes I have had problems with mine from time to time but a quick phone call has always resulted in the best service you could wish for

Loads on here have them and I love mine

I have had my Go Kart for the best part of a year now and don't regret buying it one second, probably the best purchase I have ever made. My scorecard holder fell off too but they know it's a bit of an issue so are happy to send out a new one free of charge. I also had a battery issue this last week, I'm very good with my battery, put it on charge as soon as I get in and keep it on charge etc but had noticed that it was barely getting through 18 holes and very lethargically rolling off the 18th green. I decided to drop them an email about the battery to see what they would recommend or what the warranty was........my new battery was delivered yesterday and the old one taken away.

You will not find better customer service from any other company out there, they really are superb.

As for the trolley, it's compact, looks good, turns heads and is really easy to set up and put away. Not sure if I would bother paying the extra for the automatic version, I have the manual version and if that's not easy enough for you to use then you have to be up there with the most laziest people in the world.

All the accessories are great and I'd highly recommend getting the carry bag with it, keeps the boot of the car nice and clean! Drinks holder, brolly holder, brolly and rain cover are all necessities IMO. It'll cost you a lot but it's well worth it.

Sounds good to me. All the reviews I have read are positive and the after sales sounds superb. All I need now is a Cart Bag. Sun Mountain C130 I think...God this game is expensive!

To be honest, I didn't even consider the Go Kart bag. Just looked at it and it looks quality and far cheaper than other similar spec bags. That's another £70 to Go Kart then. Cheers Swanny.

Will do mate. PM me your details and when I buy one I will let them know. Need to clear it first with the Missus first but that won't be a problem, I'm the boss in this house...God i hope she doesn't join the forum, she'll kill me. Got to go, she wants breakfast in bed and i haven't finished scrubbing the floors or breastfed the kids yet.

You slacker, I have done all that this morning already and am about to take the boys swimming! She needs to whip you into shape!

I can't understand all the nasayers on here saying the GK looks plasticky and ugly. Its a bloody trolley. Stick the bag on top and how much can you see of it anyway. GK are superb. Light, easy to assemble and heaven forbid you do have a problem they have superb customer service. Go for it. You WON'T regret it

Turning into a bit of a love in here but for a perfectly good reason. I fire in my vote for it as well. I also got the cart bag, brolly, brolly holder and carry case. I had returned mine due to an intermittent issue that I now think was user error. They replaced the scorecard holder with the improved design and had it back within a week. Also offered me a spare one to keep me going which is a service I thought was limited to the mainland. My bag only took 2 days from order to arrive over here in N. Ireland as well when I ordered it.

I plan to upgrade mine next year just to extend the warranty!

I drop them a phone call to check if they have any offers coming up soon (already have £20 off when buying 2 accessories but sometimes do others)

Just got the newsletter through and they are doing a Spa service for them, £90, they get it back looking brand spanking new and give you an extended 2 year warranty.

Is Sandy still with them ?

Anyway i had one about 2 years ago and returned it as i packed golf in briefly

My GoKart was a bit noisy, i have also had this comment mentioned before that they are not quiet like a PK or a Motocaddy

Not sure if they sorted this issue but would be keen to know as i plan to get a trolley later this year

Must admit i do like the new S1
