nah i haven't had any luck on the testing front- who do i submit my complaint to ;).

Joking aside I have used the yonex and did like it, a very nice putter on quicker greens I found. More of a 6 footer tool though rather than for a long range effort.

first thing I thought was this should help me out with the long ones because it's heavy, just won 50p off the old man in the front room with it.

Enjoy the new putter feeling mate, you got a link to a picture of it?

I did a test ages ago on a Galvin Green jacket, still love it and bought the trousers since,

If you have a problem leaving putts short then yes it will help you, I was just getting at the fact that for me (obviously it will be different for yourself) compared to my Ping CRAZ-E it was very good from shorter range and not as good on the long ones but that is compared to a large mallet putter which is a different beast. I didn't have it for very long though only a few rounds (borrowed off a mates mate) so hopefully you get on well with it from all distances.

Oh and well done on the 50p, maybe a sign that it is to win you money in the future ;)

I ain't hot a link mate but just google the name. Am on the I phone.

It looks similar to a scttu from underneith wiyhr ted on. Ain't even had it on grass yet and I can already see a new grip on and two inches off it. Might be a place in the bag fir it this winter.

On the waterproof front just bought a full callaway suit for 99 reduced from 160. So light/good you forget you have it on.

How do you go about becoming a tester.

Have tried the Yonex putters, which would be of little suprise seeing as I rate their equipment & until recently my bag containd a lot of Yonex equipment, albiet not their putters.

Did try one recently on a visit to European golf in Derby, whilst the good lady was trying out a few putters herself, as she was looking to replace her Wilson putter.

The Yonex in the shop had a nice reasuring clasic feel about it, though there was something else going on with it too, which was quite refreshing. Didn't try it enough to get a full viewpoint about it, but would place it as average to above average.

Cernunnos a while ago now, at about the start of the year when I joined the forum people that were interested in testing gear (the vast majority of people) were asked to email their details to a certain address, and people would be chosen at random or something like that. I sent my details off back then but I'm not sure if there is still a way of applying now. Knowing my luck though I missed a more recent application process.

I wouldn't say you have missed the boat, just pop all ya detailsvin an email including what's in the nag and your handicap and send it over to gm telling them you would like to be considered for testing.

Back on the putter front it's interesting, having never been a fan of blade putter I am really excited to get this out there. I have a game Monday with blindpete and my putting at the moment is woeful, so maybe this will get me sorted.

Last time I had a maintained handicap I was a 28, though my Pro still seems to insist that with my technical knowledge & ability for ball-striking etc, I really ought to be playing off scratch or somewhere close.

Consistency & nerves are what let me down, along with some problems or habits that occasionally re-emerge.

Will look into what you suggest after the Ryder cup has finished. Many thanks. TonyN

This of going to sound sarcastic, but it's really not, so just finish Reading the lot first.

I don't know why you felt the need to tell us about your handicap and abilities(told you) but it makes little difference to testing.

I can only assume you think it's lower handicap golfers who get the nod, it isn't mate, I don't even have a handicap yet.

The idea of reader testing is it gives the people Reading the results a point of view from average joes perspective instead if someone who could make 20footers with a broom handle all day.
