It's not about having permission, (though we do joke about it), it's about maintaining a balance. I'd love to be single or not give two hoots about how the other half feels and do what I want. But I'm a sensitive kinda guy and keeping things sweet at home is about compromise and acceptence. The days of dictating my wishes are long gone, though I wouldn't know about how it works up north!!
