I cannot understand why this is getting so much coverage by the BBC. It is on Radio 1, 2 and various other BBC stations plus BBC TV.
Agreed. It was a bit like watching a cartoon or waxworks come to life. Jagger tried to lift it above mediocre but the band are 30 years past their best and it painfully shows these days. They disappointed me, but surprisingly example were excellent. I hope mumford show them how It's done tomorrow
The Stones were awful, especially Jagger, something very undignified in watching 70 year old men trying to behave like teenagers.
Charlie Watts and Ronnie Woods looked shamefaced.
Hard to tell from the telly tho, would need someone who was there to report in on them. I suspect not too many GMers made it...
Perhaps next year we should send The Treacherous Orchestra down south.
That should waken them up a bit.
The lack of crowd shots during most of their set spoke volumes for me, the audience seemed more in awe than actually enjoying it.
it may have been due to the contract that both the bbc and the stones signed
