Games with the Lower Lads....

No competition this weekend as our club was doing a swap with another club so we just had a knock about....

I play regularly with a Pal of mine off 2 and to say that is helping my game would be an understatement....

Today we decided after the turn that to tighten the course up we would play a little game.....Still shoot the normal scores but for every fairway hit you get 1 point and for every GiR hit you get 1 point.....

If you miss a Gir say on a Par 5 on your second shot you get -2....
If you reach a GiR on a par 5 in 2 you get 2 points....

It made for a very interesting back nine and really made me concentrate....
Suffice to say he shot level Par on the back 9 and i was 3 over gross.....

Ill be playing with him again in a Medal next week...Looking forward to it already....:whoo:

Too much for me. I'm still trying to hit it and find it afterwards but sounds like it worked a treat. Next time I play with Hawkeye (my regular partner) perhaps we could do something similar for a bit of 4BBB matchplay practice

our top boys use a revised course layout based on an enhanced strokesaver blueprint developed by their coach to 'tighten up the course'.......

you and I might be on the left side of the fairway - they are in a water hazard.

makes most shots a lot more focused!!!
