Game with Craphacker yesterday

Went out to Poult Wood near Tonbridge yesterday with Clive.

Decent enough track for the money.

The winner on the day was Clive, with a very impressive 41 points off 18. His iron play was consistently very, very good all day and he was good off the tee also. Nice fella & was great company and made the day very enjoyable.

As for me, 20 points front9, 9 points back9, I was hurting a bit on the back 9 so that is my excuse!

Pleased enough, I played well off the tee, hit some genuinely huge drives. Also played a blinder with my wedges front 9 and didnt putt too bad. Iron play was rubbish though.

All in all a good day, Im just glad to be back playing again and that front 9 has given me the belief that there is still a golfer in here somewhere.

Bit like a footballer coming back from injury - it takes time to get match fit. The front nine proves the game is still there and as you get use to 18 holes again the usual 40 points per round will soon be back

A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

Mainly coz of the company, although the course was fine for us two doods.

Par 68, but with a SSS of only 65, that makes my 41 points look more like 38 in real terms.

It was a game of two halves, only one of us hit a nett hole in one, ( not me of course ), but my game is showing signs of going in the right direction.

The K15 is good.

The 70-80 yard approaches were pretty consistant.

I only blobbed one hole, and after the first three holes the putter decided to behave itself as well.

All that and a Spurs fan who doesn't trust 'Arry.

Life can be good sometimes.
