Fuerteventura

We did Fuerteventura in February a few years back, played a course called Jandia don't remember it being amazing, but I'd go again. Probably February half term next year because winter is dragging.

My cousin and his partner go to Gran canaria every Christmas for two weeks. They see the same faces each year, it's like a community of like minded people. Retired people escaping the miserable weather back home.

They go elsewhere at other times of year, more to do at mainland places, but the canaries in January and February, I get it.
We went to Gran Canaria last year at February half term and the plane was full of pensioners.

Tenerife, Costa adeje in particular is quite similar at Christmas/NY

Thanks to the orange guy overseas I'm now going to the Elba Carlota Hotel in a couple of weeks (was supposed to be Cyprus but swapped just before the 28 day deadline), does that course across the road hire out clubs etc? What about playing in a pair of trainers?

Didn't pick this hotel for the golf, we just wanted somewhere in the Canaries that had decent flight times and the wife liked the look of this one but I might try and sneak away for a round on one of the afternoons.

Lots of hire sets at Fuerteventura Golf club. I'd be suprised if they pick you up for trainers, but worth a check.
I see the website is now working, it was down the other day. Looks like you might have to wear golf shoes, not sure about packing a pair to be honest. Says you can't wear any of these which seems to cover everything except golf shoes.
