Four of us played there in Sept 22
This link won't tell you much about the course. I enjoyed it. We played the Priory course, which I think is regarded as the better course of the two. Not played the other.
I share your mild trepidation about hotel courses - this one is OK.
Very pleasant countryside views. Course was good condition when we played.

I played the Moorland course two months ago and it was in good condition. Nothing spectacular but also nothing to complain about for what we paid, £20 each! Haven't played the Priory for a few years.

The priory course has some absolutely stupid holes the 8th 9th and the 10th 
Enjoyable weekend though nice enough complex and had a good couple of nights in derby

I liked the 9th and 10th.
Short doglegs and birdie chances for the accurate player, if I remember correctly.
