Sometimes it feels like one step forward and then two back.
After a shocker of a game last week I went to the practise ground on Monday and I thought I had my poor drives cured. I was hitting them great.

Went again last night for a practise, and a whole other issue has surfaced. I have developed a serious draw/hook.

How do you guys cope! feel so frustrated right now. It's like for every bad shot off the tee I am dropping a shot, be it due to no distance or because the ball has shot off somewhere deep into the rough. I think once this issues is sorted I will see my scores come down.

Driving used to be the most solid part of my game, I was long and accurate for a handicap golfer. This year I think I have lost more shots off the tee than anywhere else.

I have no idea where my long straight drive has gone but for the 1st time ever I may start being rather selective about my use with it.

I feel your pain, I feel my mid iron play and short game is good, its just off the tee I struggle. If I get straight down the middle 250 yards I usually make par.

I'm awful with my driver, I'm building a new set of clubs and really need to pick up a 3 wood, hopefully give me another option of the tee.

Driving has always been a problem for me but I tend to find a lot of my issues are tempo related rather than a massive technical flaw. I've been trying to work on making a good turn and swining smoothly and that is all I had in my mind on Tuesday. With a load of guys all standing there watching and the GM snapper taking pics all I wanted to do was get one away. I did and to be honest it sets the tone for any round if you can get a nice first drive away

My problem is tempo too.

If I smooth it out and don't try to hit the case off the ball then I get a good result - but it only goes as far as my 4 wood!!
