From the top of the world to the bottom in 90 seconds

Competition will be replayed. It turns out half played stableford format while half played a medal round. Although to throw even more mistakes into the pot the competition was also max 18 Handicap!

Our captain came over and apologised for whats happened but we all had a laugh about it in the bar, which at the end of the day is a the main thing.

All sorted.

The competition will be replayed sometime in the next two weeks as literally half of the entries played to stableford and half completed a medal round.

To top the confusion off it was max 18 handicap as well.

At least we had a laugh in the bar about it this afternoon

glad you were all able to have a laugh about it.

I was watching the clubs comp results and the longer it went without a posting the more likely this outcome became.

It's not necessarily the most technically correct, but given that the comp was a Medal previously, and I presume backwards from there, it became the most likely solution for any committee - in reality I would probably have taken this route too!

Now get out there and win the next one - and don't forget to ask the handicap committee to take that card into account in their annual review! you have done your bit so they should do theirs to avoid your future embarasment :)

i always expect big scores to win the comps at the start of the season. 50+ with two blobs is very rare though. even around our place. i came second on captains day one year with a 46 pointer. this was half way though the season.
