During the usual pummelling of Fragger my illustrious Bruvver had an air-shot. The first I've witnessed for years.
We'd been following this 4-ball of idiots for 12 holes, waiting on just about every shot. On reaching the 13th (par5) we finally get the call through. 2 decent drives were despatched and Fragger got to his ball with all 4 of the group (+me) watching to see what shot he was going to play.
Pulling out a 5 wood, he had a couple of swishes and then an almighty swing at the ball. If he'd connected it would have gone - well about 10 feet the way he was hitting the 5 wood today - but, alas, failure. A quick-thinking Fragger set-up again as if the aforementioned "whiff" was in fact a practice swing. Another swish and the ball at least made progress towards the hole.

As we walked up I questioned the number of shots and the Computer Geek to the Gentry admitted the miss but didn't want to own up to it in front of the other group.
I let him off as I was about to despatch a second birdie for 4 points to leave him trailing.
Never mind Fragger. :D
There's always next week. :p :p

CRUEL!!!

The defendant pleads guilty M'lud to the offence of committing an "Air Shot" and will accept the sentence of his peers (ie Ridicule) I just tried to hit the bloody thing way too hard " Daily Fail"

However he denies the charge of covering up the said offence
as it was so obviously an air shot in front of 5 witnesses, that to even attempt to deny it was absurd.

When asked by my BASTID brother i confirmed what he already knew without hesitation.

Therefore my conscience is totally clear.

Ended up with 32 points (left loads out there), Fat bastid had 37, he did play very well and had at least 3 birdies with a couple of 4 pointers in there.

I was making a conscious effort to leave myself with a shot of around 100-120 to the green (rather than a 40 yard chip) and found that by having a narrow stance (almost a putting stance) I was able to hit most of the greens this way.

so I shall be experimenting with this in coming weeks
I feel that the narrower stance makes me less prone to lashing at the ball, promoting a better strike and letting the club do its work.

And yes one day very soon, Fat Bastid is gonna get wupped again.

Fragger

Funny that it was just last week you were complaining you had to give Fragger to many shots if you were playing matchplay :D

Perhaps you would need to give him more shots :D :D

No No, I dont want any more shots

I have enough shots to beat him IF I can get my game in gear

I did actually beat him a couple of weeks ago on countback 32 points each, but decided not to brag about it as I wanted to wait until I totally thrashed the BASTID before harping on about it.
