Foursomes advice

Basic question but do you mark your partners shots and then play your own ball? Dropping in rough and hazards and placing on green and fairway?

There is only 1 ball in play. Decide on the 1st tee what ball to play.
Either of you can mark and replace your ball even if it's the other one's turn.

No the ball you tee off with is the one you finish the hole with(hopefully),if the club has a local rule that is clean and place through the green then thats ok all over the course(normally within 3-6 inches i think)...

A 24 handcapped friend of mine was my guest at the mens invitation day during Crowboroughs Centenary celebrations in 1998. It was foursomes in the afternoon.
Every time he stepped on the tee for his drive, I had a bloody sandwedge in my hand ready to dig myself out of the heather.
He played crap

Tiger,

Don't know what your partner is off but I got to a final last year with a partner who was off 28 , I just asked him to cover distance with every shot and not worry too much about the direction.
He then concentrated on just hitting it and I would then try and recover from wherever it ended up, worked well all the way through the previous rounds but he got stage fright in the final and shanked almost every shot lol.

Just have fun mate and don't apply any more pressure on yourself, as said before use your shots etc.

I'd say think about what holes you want to tee off on, but for a different reason than has already been mentioned.

Because the person teeing off plays the approach on par 3's and 5's, the position of them in the round can mean one player plays significantly more approach shots.

At ours, the player who tees off first will have approach shots on 11 of the holes.

be fair, Crowborough has more heather than it does fairway - and it's easier to find

Thought about this already Region and I prefer teeing off on the odds but that means approaches on 10 holes will definitely be having a chat with my playing partner.

Following from other comments hoping he plays a two piece!!!! :D

Thanks again guys
