We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!
I guess Crouch was told by Twitchy to get stuck in, in true English fashion. Sadly, he was very naieve, and the Real player dangled the bait to draw him in and get him a second yellow. He was stupid enough to fall for it, and off he goes. In the prem, players don't do this. They hoof the ball out of defence, rather than trying to get a player sent off. If Tottenham had more experience in Europe, they might have realised this.
Got to feel sorry for Rednapp hes done a fantastic job this season.
Crouch will feel gutted, but what was going through his head,i bet before the game they were well warned of the faking injury and diving,as has been said nieve.
Got to admit could be a great return match 2 early goals and squeaky bum time.
Utter stupitity on Crouchs part to get sent off, what annoyed me after the first needless booking he went and done the same thing again, when I saw him going into the tackle I shouted "no dont dont"but he did, the pillock.
Spurs started very poorly and it looked ominous but getting a man sent of killed the game for Spurs and ruined what could have been a great game,we might have lost anyway with 11 men but I think we would have been in with a chance in the second leg. the pillock
So not best pleased, Ray Wilkins didnt help by keep stating the bloody obvious over and over again.
That said after the sending off the stats were similar to the Arsenal game. RM had 75% possession, totally dominated the passes completed, 23 shots at goal, etc, and yet the Arse were crucified by the press as being rubbish, where as the Totts get the plucky loser treatment.
Wasn't that young lady who Crouchy dabbled with when Abbey was pregnant from Madrid, could explain those ridiculous challenges last night, perhaps she only had an 8.30 slot available.
Totally unprofessional by Crouch. It's not as if he really needs to be making tackles anyway. Better to close down and force them to move the ball on. Have to agree about Wilkins. I listened (begrudgingly) at the weekend and thought he was poor but last night he took it to a whole new low in terms of mediocrity. Only Hoddle has been worse as a co-commentator in my opinion and I hope Wilkins isn't going to be the new lynchpin replacing Gray. There are so many better than him
