OOOOOOPPPPSSSS!!! My powakaddy rolled into the 18th lake! I managed to fish it out very quickly and nothing got damaged in the bag. Only thing is the battery was immersed for a few seconds!

Is there anything I should do, I have no manual as it was a gift from an uncle second hand, please help!

All dried out and nothing sqeaks, guess I am OK to charge it up again.

Additionally what should I do if I am going to store it for the winter? I guess fully charge it and leave it? I am not playing this winter due to lack of membership and funds :(

I'd give the connectors a little spray with WD40 or better still a silicon based lubricant.

Your biggest issue is going to be the motor and motor control circuitry. Luckily if it only got a quick dip it should be fine as the units are usually designed to be water resistant for wet weather use etc.

Get out the WD40 and give exposed areas a good shot of spray.

Of course if it was a GK they would give you a loan battery while they checked yours over. The GK is recommended to stay on charge all the time so mine just lives in a corner behind the hi fi stand out of the way

Hey could have been worse....

At Downes Credition a few years ago someone left the hand brake off on their car and it slowly rolled it's way into the lake of the 18th and in full view of the clubhouse. It then proceeded to sink out of sight !!

Never did hear how much it was to get it out and if it was a right off
