Foul Language

Gentlemen (this is not aimed at the ladies of the forum, Homer this means you are free to go too! )
Maybe it is just me but I find it refreshing coming onto this forum for its lack of foul language, others I frequent are not so eloquent. The odd one here and there is one thing but I have noticed and it has been pointed out to be also that standards are dropping again, it really isn't impossible to get a point across without dragging down how you are portrayed.

Have to be honest and say it's only really in OOB that it is a problem. Most of the golf related threads (apart from when a few of us take leave of our senses and transcend into name calling) are dealt with as though in a virtual clubhouse. A bit of banter, the odd disagreement and a lot of laughter. Some of the OOB topics (football, world affairs) seem to cast a much darker shadow. Come on peeps lets keep the level up. There are kids on here as well!

I dont think so, no. In the context of a joke, some words work, name calling etc is not on.
Rule of thumb I reckon, if you would not use the language on your gran or children, game on.

Have to be honest and say it is a thankless job trying to keep us hooligans from infringing the rules. I guess what needs to be remembered is that the site is kindly hosted by GM and ultimately if we begin to affect their reputation they'll pull the plug. I agree that sometimes all of the mods can seem like "fun police" but they do try and stay out of it as much as they can. Keep it clean, keep the mods and GM happy - simples

Nah, photos are just sensible in more ways than one, would you buy a car going by someones description? Would you take their word for it?
As you said, be clever/creative and a turn of phrase can be funnier than any swear word.
