Foreigner

As you rightly said, they have only got one song, but then again foreigner have only got two!

How are they gonna fill the other 75 mins?

Don't forget your lighter!
Feels like the first time, Waiting for a girl like you, Hot blooded, Urgent, Cold as ice, Head games, I want to know what love is, Juke box hero, Double vision, etc . How are they going to fit them all in ?

Last time I saw Foreigner they were supported by the Doobie Brothers. In the States they are being supported by Styx. Amazing how many of the old bands that are still around, although not many of the original line up.:mmm:

Top group - hot blooded, cold as ice, urgent, juke box hero and more.

I bought an album around 1981 called "American heartbeat" which was a compilation of great songs by Toto, Reo Speedwagon, Journey etc which whetted my appetite for this type of music.

But that was yesterday.;)

"Whetted my appetite for THIS TYPE OF MUSIC" ... Says he with an Iron Maiden album on his profile ;)

Now the real albums to get you into , from the 1980s were Axe Attack I and Axe Attack II

Absolute legend of a song, got to be possibly my favorite ballad of all time.
Me too. Much better song than I want to know what love is. Urgent is a great song as well, with the most amazing sax solo.

When I was in the States, I sang my only ever karaoke song with my daughter, who was four at the time. Feels like the first time. I think we are still the talk of Florida.:)

Rock/metal music is like alcohol. You can very much enjoy a bottle of 7.5% skullsplitter, and also quaff a 15 year old Glenisla and appreciate both.

I looked up a playlist last night and there seem to be different ones. It also said it was released in 1984 - I could have sworn it was earlier. I thought it was in my "razzle" years, but it must have been the "Club international" years.:o

Foreigner were brilliant. Just under two hour set, and we had front row seats. Not that we were sitting for long. Very loud and I still have a headache two days later. Daughter enjoyed it especially when she was being manhandled by Kelly Hansen. He is a really top front man, great singer, though he did spend most of his time in the audience.

All the old songs, in fact I am sure it was the exactly the same set I heard nearly 20 years ago. I prefer the old classics to new stuff anyway so no complaints.

Always good when the concert meets the expectations you have beforehand. Got 000's of tunes on Spotify and many soft rock classics. Was never a fan of Europe but definitely liked Foreigner. Anyone got concerts coming up with 80's artists. Think I'm doing Rewind this year
