On Wednesday I am off to the Guildhall Portsmouth to see Foreigner with my daughter Sophie who is 19. They are our favourite band, and the last time I saw them Sophie was just a few months old. Where has the last 19 years gone as it seemed like yesterday.

Support group is Europe, so at least I will know one of their songs.;)

Now where did I leave my leather jacket ?

Never had you down as a soft rock lad !! Need a mullet and big hair :D

PHEW! saw the thread title and thought this will kick of when rocket and his merry band see it:rolleyes:

delighted to see its about a rubbish band from the 70's/80's  :ears:

I don't want to be controversial rich, but surely Europe should be headlining!!

I saw them @ Milton Keynes bowl in 1989:thup:

As you rightly said, they have only got one song, but then again foreigner have only got two!

How are they gonna fill the other 75 mins?

Don't forget your lighter!

Top group - hot blooded, cold as ice, urgent, juke box hero and more.

I bought an album around 1981 called "American heartbeat" which was a compilation of great songs by Toto, Reo Speedwagon, Journey etc which whetted my appetite for this type of music.

But that was yesterday.;)

Are they still gigging? Saw them in Hannover in 1982 - I feel really old, but probably not as old as them :)

Question should really be 'Are they (mostly) still alive?'!

Strange, I saw the thread title and immediately thought of them, but thought the thread would be about something else!

Brings back a few memories!

I had that album!!!

Sadly, I lost the custody battle... The ex got it in 1990

I played it to death, it was a good xmas - got queen's greatest hits also.

I'm sure "American heartbeat" was re-released about five years ago, although with some changes on it.

The original though, everything was all similar - Toto, foreigner, survivor, Toto, boston, except Wang chung's song!!!!

As did I - and still do; Blue Oyster Cult, Kansas and Quarterflash amongst some of the others on there, great album.

Kansas - Pah!

Spent some of my hard-earned on them once, having heard 2 nice ballads - 'Dust in the Wind' being the memorable one. Hugely disappointed!
