for sale post removed,why?

On a personal note I would ask you if you would send money to someone nobody knows or has had any comms with?

Not sure I agree on the money. The majority of us on here are very very trusting. I bought something off Crawford a couple of months ago. I wasn't sure about the shaft so he sent me the club to try before I buy. I had the club for about 5 days before I decided I wanted it and sent the money. I think we are trusting and hope the scally's stay away.

Yes, I think your right but we need to keep it tight in order to continue that way.

JOUK, your are bloody clueless regarding what we can and cannot do. We cannot vet posts r censor them, we react to them.

It's fairly common to set up a forum script so a new users first few posts are authorised by a moderator prior to appearing live on the board, I have one set up that way. Funnily enough it stops people joining and spamming with their first few posts. Not sure who is the "bloody clueless" one now. :D

The seller seems like a smashing fella and he was happy enough with my explanation but you seem to have a problem with me.

Get off your ego.... you're nothing to me.

this is crazy,i accepted the removal of the post, all i was after was an explanation which i got. like he said ive been a member for about a fortnight now and nobody knows me from adam, fair play to you all for your opinions but seriously i'm glad that the moderators are so keen on keeping the site clean, a private message would have been nice to give the reason for the removal without me putting up this post which has obviously caused a stir. draw a line under the issue and get back to the main reason we're on here GOLF!

Jesus H. Christ, leave the Mods alone ffs. Mono was robbed by someone selling a putter they got free from GM, its bad enough they charged him top wack for something everyone knows they got free but to cheat a kid out of his pocket money is the lowest forms of life.

A couple of years ago I was a member of an unmodded forum, which got along fine, until it got too big, and the hassle started.

I was anti the introduction of mods, but after a while I had to come round to their way of reacting - the more popular a forum becomes, the more likely you are to need mods.

I think this forum has 'suffered' the same increase in popularity.

I've had a couple of queries with the mods here, but all in all, I think they do a grand job. Noone is perfect, but these guys are as good as you're ever going to get.

I know for sure that I couldn't / wouldn't do it.

I have just noticed a load of extra posts on the thread having been busy working away near brim this past few days.
A couple of things..
1. computers do not have common sense and forums need moderators, period.
2. If lee wanted an angry mob to throw in their tuppence I am sure he would have asked.
This subject just keeps rearing it's ugly head, strangely as heavy handed as we are (all relative I suppose), we still have the best membership among all UK golf forums.
