For all you folk with children at school........

played golf in the summer with a school teacher.he hit a good putt at one hole and the ball finnished on the lip,i said "hard lines just half a roll more" he said "well actualy when you concider the diameter of a golf ball is 1.68inches so the circumfrence is actually over 5inches(c=1.68pi)half a roll is over 2 1/2 inches" ok i thought nuff said

Lines are considered to be a bit draconian and if the government inspectors (ofsted) saw them given as a punishment he would be graded inadequate and have his pay and pension cut immediately.... ;)

As a serial underachiever I found a great way to avoid detention and lines. I just didn't go. Having taken my English Language a year early and got an A and been chucked out of express maths (you automatically got put in if you were doing fast tracked English - never understood the correlation) I lost interest. Add in getting £40pw cahs in hand to be assistant pro at my club and the incentive to school waned. Eventually went back the year after the 5th form and cobbled an advanced O level in English Lit, CSE 1 in maths and 4 other O's mainly from just reading text books

Bob,,, considering his inability to spell is a reflection of the teachers incompetence.. i think you should spank the teacher with an veasy.. :ears:
