Hi folks,

I have booked a family holiday to Florida next May and I am hoping to play once or twice when we are there. I have previously played Southern Dunes and Falcons Fire. We will be staying in Kissimmee and I wondered if anybody could recomend a course and what they specifically liked about it ?

Cheers

:)

If you can get on the International at Champions Gate go for it as everything was suberb when i played it anyway. I also played Falcons Fire,Southern Dunes and both the Orange County courses which were both good for the money. Every course in that area are good courses but you can get on cheaper if you try and haggle and youll be surprised how cheap some of them are. Hope this helps and have fun :)

Hi, Lucky you I hope to go in June but I have just had an operation and it will depend on the recovery. I have been to Orlando a few times my favorite course is Celebration which is on the 192 about marker 6. Diamond Back is IMO the best value for money course in Orlando. If I can be of help get in touch like yourself I stay in Ayrshire

You're a lucky man! i would recommend the International Course at Champions Gate. It looks class and the so do the holes on the yardage book. I played the National course there and its great! You're are treated fabulously there, the carts even have GPS fitted into them! For value for money I would recommend Highlands Reserve. It is an absolutely great course with typical Floridian long sand corridors. I stayed on the course too! :D

Thanks for all the comments. Some names I recognised and others were totally new to me. Is the Champions Gate area where the David Leadbetter Academy ? Will look into all the courses.

Bogside 84 - I will not have to go too far to catch up with you for additional info because I am also a member at Bogside. Hope the back is getting better.

I played at Disney's Palms Course with a fellow forummer (Toad)in October, a couple of weeks before the PGA Tour arrived with the Children's Miracle Network Classic. We had a great time and for $99 which included club hire, buggy with GPS and a bucket of range balls you can't really go wrong.

I have played Lake Buena Vista, the Palm and Magnolia at Disney, all of which were superb, with fantastic greens. I would say my favourite of the 3 would be the Palm. I get on for about 35 dollars (I know Grumpy), so for that money, you can't beat it.
