Normally I love putting these things together, usully badly but the it's personalised right?

For the first time I actually didn't have all the parts.

Now I was good, I checked the contents against the parts, all checked out.

Turns out the manual is wrong, I need double the amount of one part, double checking showed I also had a wrong sized bit of wood, single rather than double backboard.

A missing part is acceptable but an incorrect manual and a incorrectly sized part?

All this after I complained to the wife from overpaying at Mothercare when I told her to buy the one I saw online from Ikea!

Hopefully store credit coming our way as busy parents we had to plan getting the tot out the house so we could build this wardrobe. Now we have to arrange more child watching to finish the job:

Not easy to understand what point you are making, but are you saying you should be treated more specially because you choose to employ a childminder while you put a bit of furniture together?

If so I hope they tell you to do one.

Naw it was the inlaws and free but took a bit of negotiation.

Just surprised me how many mistakes they made, I think I have some right to complain if the manual is wrong, the number of parts supplied is wrong and the size of one of the parts was wrong.

Never had a mistake in a flat pack until now, like London buses three come at once!

Hopefully good customer service wins through but that's down to them not me.

the store handle it brilliantly however, they seemed shocked it was wrong.

In the end the thing that matters most is that they rectify the error, anything else would make me a happy customer rather than just a customer...

In the end if we don't ask we won't get though, don't expect to be treated differently, just in line with someone who had been inconvenienced by their multiple errors

So you've been back and got it recitified?

But you're still going on about "inconvenience" like you're after some sort of compensation. Is that right?
