I just don’t see it as wasting their time. Part of our game is that we extend courtesies and adhere to requests made by others without question, reserve or resentment.

No more selfish than having issues with someone who wants the flag tended

And if tended then tend it

Of course it is, you're making someone waste time doing something wholy unnecessary just because you think you can, sure there is some goods reasons for it but in the main it's just a staggering waste of time.

The majority of our greens are so small there is no real need so it is in or out for most players.

I don't , I leave it in for the long uns, like everyone else I know and play with. Certainly would never dream of asking someone to waste time tending it.

Yes, seems to be pretty much flag in or out these days.

Because there are 100% still instances where it will still be needed .

I don’t like putting with the flag in , but on some holes I can’t see the bottom of the hole so asked for the flag to be tended until I putt so I can see where the hole is - then as soon as I hit my putt the flag comes out

It’s very simple and doesn’t waste any time at all

Maybe I’m lucky I play with people who use common sense and act like adults around the course being aware of others
