The condition of Fishwick Hall in Preston is fantastic at the moment. The greens and fairways must be the best in the area at the moment, and due credit must be given to the fantastic greens staff.
All the fools who jumped ship and went to Ingol to save a bob or 2 must really be kicking themselves, there is no comparison between Fishwick and the ploughed fields down the road :)

Thats wierd, I was going to start thread asking about Fishwick as I have a society day there this coming Sunday...

Had a look at the website, looks like some good holes to have a go at.

Looking foward to it even more now. And it looks lke the weather is set fair which makes a change for this society, usually raining...

Preston is in a different league to most other courses in the area. The quality and variety of holes there is superb only the 18th was a bit dull. The welcome we got at that open too was silly, I thought they were gonna give us the keys to the golf club they were so friendly :D

Hmmm sorry, I'd say Ashton and Lea, Penwortham, Leyland, Chorley and of course Preston are all much better layouts in the area and I'd be surprised if any of those are in anything but tip top condition this time of year. You are right about Ingol though!

Preston definitely the best despite (and strangely) not having one dog leg it is very challenging and a picturesque course always in great nick.
