Me and my mate played in the season ending foursomes comp on saturday and won it,not one of my favourite ways to play the game but we decided to give it ago ,well we ended up shooting net 71 or par which we won by 1 shot so a place at the end of season prize giving.

We played very steady holing every return putt from 3-4 feet every time and kept the ball in play which is a must in this format ,the twice we were out of position we played a good recovery shot then got up and down ,hopefully i can build on this win over the winter and get my handicap down again next season ,here's hoping.

Well done Steve, nice to finish on a high especially as you thought your season over when your back was playing up.
or does yer mate have the sore back now lol.

Mullen??

Good shooting Steve,it is a bloody hard format of the game!!

Cheers Alan

No it wasn't Mullan he was caddying at Kingsbarns it was my other mate uncle fester putted like a porn star he did,lol

Alan he complained all the way round about me leaving him 3-4 foot putts every time i putted my response but it closer to the hole with your shot then you won't need it,back was nipping a bit mate but the exercises i do before i play help and so is your Dads tip.

Well Played Steve. Certainly a season ending boost and something positive to be working on over the winter. Glad your back held up and the exercises helped.

Cheers guys the backs holding up but doing the exercises helps the can be found on the Titliest Performance website,if not my back would be as stiff as a board.

Well done Steve. Only board comps I have ever won were foursomes. A wins a win. Had a look at Kingsbarns when we were up there, and got invited in for a coffee in the Clubhouse. Seemed very friendly, but was amazed it has no members, and closes from the beginning of November through to the end of March. No wonder the green fees are so high, and a bit out of my budget. Shame because it looked superb.:(

Correct Rich no members and it closes in 3 weeks for the winter, its £185 a round or Scottish residents get it for £82 i think but as my mates a caddy i get on for nowt. Its a course i like and your always made to feel welcome there doesn't seem to be a snobby attitude there which is good.

Well done Steve , tough form of golf that, good to finish on a high matey , congrats..

Cheers Bill, i've struggled with my golf for a long time now so thats given me that extra push to get my finger out and get on with it. Yeah its not my favourite but we were steady all the way around couple of breaks but you need that at times.

Champion news Kemlo, always had faith in the Scotscraig smoothie.

I think you'd score even better by ditching that 52 Vokey and replacing it with a 52 Tour S to match your new bats. Makes sense to me!

Well done anyway, you've won more than me! Cos I'm pish I guess!!
