Shame on all those boys that hurt your feelings yesterday.....:)....
You must have taken the belly issue a bit hard to have changed back

Exactly.. it's more 'teenage ripped' than beer belly, and the putter keeps slipping on the ridges of ab rock!

You know what you could do James...Is to buy one of those harness's that the Sea Anglers use for the butt of the rod....No slippage with one of those......And......You could pass it off as a corset and say that its a brace for your bad back;)

So...

Gonna stick with it?

For the 1st time out I thought it was really good.

I've invented my own grip (I've got a habit of doing that - left hand braced and inverted under the shaft at the top) and didn't find it too bad at all... I actually felt more comfy with it and pace wise everything made it past the hole apart from one I left 5ft short but that was up a 4ft ridge and would likely have not done any better with my short stick.

It's got to stay in the bag until I've given it a fair trial.

It sounds like your irons are getting the ball close.

Have you kept the grips on?

I have.. they feel uber thin though but (you know me) I'm not fussy and just hit what's in my hand.. mud and all!

I might get them regripped.. it's generally my 50°, 54° 58° wedges that are getting me close

He bruises easily! :o

I'm ripped hard outside... with a VERY soft center :p

First time luck. I can't wait to see what happens when the magic dust fades and it becomes like a wet eel in your hands. What is Plan X - even longer and rest one or more of yor chins on top of the handle

I note that the first two were for birdies, so presumably the rest were for par or worse. By my maths at least 6 over par for 9 holes. It's not your putting you want to be worrying about James.

And there was me thinking you were Smiffy's mate who has a 6 handicap but goes round in 14 over. He was obviously thinking of someone else.

No... that's me :( Hit it crap and sometimes score ok (ish).... bad back and all

Played 2 full 18's since I did my back and was 9 over both times.... not great. Playing 18 tomorrow hopefully.

Ball striking is hit and miss (swing looks more like C3PO at the moment)... if I could hit it like Fundy I'd be 4 under par every round!!! :(

James I'm glad your back is getting better, mine is still playing up but I'm going to have a go this afternoon to see how it goes. Many people seem to think the BP is better for mid- short putts however I find it makes the long putts much easier. Once you join the dark side, you may find it very dificult to go back ;)

17 putts over 9 holes can't be an improvement surely?
