First competetive round in 12 months.

Hi all, just to say I completed my 1st competetive round in a year after losing 9-10 months with a broken leg.

Have to say nothing spectacular, 84 nett 76 puts me up by 0.1. Big downfall was the 4 par 3's, 10 over for these 4 (2 x 6, 1 x 5, 1 x 4), 3 over for the other 14.

Hit the ball not too bad, a couple of missed short putts and up and downs, signs are promising tho'. Hoping to play to my handicap at least once before the season ends, plenty of practice throughout the winter months and a big push for a cat 1 handicap next season.

Never mind the scoring it's good that you're back out on the course. Get some work in on the short game and it will soon click into place.

Without a doubt more important than the scoring, which I'm sure will come, like you say short game practice is where its at, the ability to consistantly (well 50% of the time) get down in 2 from 50 yards in where its at.
