First Cars.

A late 50's black Ford Prefect. It cost £20 and lasted about a week before I had to abandon it on the way to a football match

1937 Morris 8. Bought it for 20 quid taxed. It had an electric fuel pump which stopped working after about 20 miles or so, had a little rest and got going again. 4 of us crammed in for a trip to Farnborough Air Show from Stanmore Park - had to stop 6 times on the way down and 7 times on the way back.

Cheeky.

Bought it in 1961 while stationed at RAF Stanmore Park.

My first car and first real love. I Never should have sold it. Which I only did as my parents advised me it wasn't economical enough for traveling to and from leeds everyday. It broke my bloody heart selling it.
I now own its much bigger brother :)

St170 was a great car, massively underrated and overlooked because it wasn't quite as fast as some of its contemporaries like the Clio. But was an excellent all around motor, decent power, excellent handling and very easy to live with. I had one as my second car.
My first was a 1.2 Vauxhall nova. After that died of rust it was a few years whilst I was at uni and then living in London til I got the focus.

I had a red 199 Peugeot 309 gti. It was the 205's ugly sister but unlike 205's she did not try and spit you out into a bush with lift off oversteer, handled amazing really loved that car.

Vauxhall Viva 1972 in yuk blue:

Only lasted a couple months before the axle broke and I got a 72' Hillman Avenger

Another one for the 850 mini. 5 of us went to Cornwall in it. Going up some of the hills, everyone else had to get out and walk.

1955 Morris Minor with split windscreen. It was older than me. Worth a tidy sum if I had it now.

First car was a mini, canary yellow with a 1275GT engine, webber twin chokes, straight through exhaust! It was awesome. Wasnt till i was 21 though, Bikes were my first transport and at 17 i had a Kawasaki ZXR750.

Had a Fiat Punto 2003 plate in the sport trim in a VERY vibrant yellow.

Loved the thing but some girl pulled out of a stop junction and I T-Boned her

write-off.
