...got a cut!!

A nice side effect was winning (my first) todays medal.

79 nett 67 for a whole shot cut to 10.5
If only I'd pitched out of the trees instead of trying to hook a 6 iron 50 yards from right-to-left on 14. Ended up with a triple. Stupid decisions. One day I will cut them out.

Happy bunny though.

Those triples are seriouly annoying, I had one in each of my best two rounds of the year.

But as long as the handicap keeps coming down

Well done. I could see last week that there was a good score ready to burst out. Good shooting and don't worry about the triple. How boring would it be if we never took these shots on. One day we might even pull one of them off as we intended

Thanks everyone. Really looking forward to Saturdays medal even more now. I know I should go into it with no expectations but you just can't help looking forward to a game that little bit more when you've had a good one.

I was all set to hit a PW over the trees to set up a short third shot, then I heard James in my head telling me how to hit a foolproof hook so out came the 6 iron.
Trouble is it only went 25yds left and I needed 50.

I'll learn........ eventually

I don't want to bore everyone with a shot-by-shot account, but I've just gone over the holes in my head and I'm now certain it's my driving that needs most attention.

12 drives left a clear shot at the green. Played those 12 in level par.
3 drives left a shot needing a slight fade to the green. Played those 3 in +2.
3 drives left no shot at the green. Played those 3 in +5!

I know a better decision could have made that +3 but the theory remains the same. I hit 4/15 fairways.

Sorry to ramble on, but I hope it will help me remember if I write down my thoughts.

I was counting par 3's (only 3 of them) as having a clear shot of the green.

Great shooting, no surprise as that wasn't a 12h'capper's ball striking down @ The Addington.
