at last after 3 yrs of golf i have managed to get my first round under 80 with a 79!!! a great round for me as i play off 17 so if my maths is good that is 8 under my handicap as the course is par 70. Also during the round i done some analysing and ended up with 31 putts,7/14 fairway hits and 8 greens in regulation so still room for improvment but as long as i can play like this in the 36 hole handicap trophy i could finally get my name on our clubs winners board!!

Well done. Just don't go out expecting to do it every time as the game will bite back at some stage. On a positive note though enjoy your good form and I hope you can get your name up on the board. Good luck and good shooting

good stuff. i hope to join you when my 3 years are up. only half way through and i've broken 90 a few times now and i know where i can save shots.

I like stories like this, it helps assure me that it's possible in a short period of time to get good at the game, as long as i'm willing to put the hours of practice in.

That's amazing. How dedicated have you been to get to that stage? I went round in 120 last week and can't imagine shaving 60 shots off my total. Well done.

the fact that most of the time i'll be out on the course 4 days a week practising and then spending every saturday playing in the junior comps even if its pouring down with rain!!!

Well done fella ! My best is 86, and my course is only a par 68 !!

I hope I beat 80 regularly by the end of this year, ( fingers crossed) !

Congrats to you, hope you do it again and soon !

just been out on the course again but this time i got 76!!!!!! i thought it would take me another couple of months to do that and with the course record being 72 i may have a chance (hopefully)

Great stuff. Enjoy your good form when it lasts. If it does go off (and it just might!) remember you have been there and will do it again one day.
I broke 90 in my first year but then slipped badly. Now just nudging 80 (5 years on!)
Best of luck
