Finally Broke 100!!!

Finally broke 100 today with a 98

Shot 46 and 52, front 9 was great and i was duffing a few but still managing to keep the scores down... The back 9 started all wrong with a 9, 8 and a 7 on a par 3.

Added up my scores on the 14th again and knew from there 4 bogeys would get me to 99, cue concentration again... started with a double oo:, then a par put me back on track before another bogey on the 17th:thup:. So it was all on the last hole.

18th hole is par 4 90 degree dog-leg right over a river, just cleared the minium 170yrd carry as i hit my tee shot to high; 145yrds left in and i try to rip it from the rough and the ball went off at 45degree angle - i knew my head went a bit but i had a fair lie on the next shot so relaxed for and pitched the 65 yards in and then drained the 7ft putt for another par.

Its been a long time coming, 3 years and ~30 rounds as i tended to only ever play 6 rounds or so over winter before going off to other things - going to try and stick with it though this year.

Great start to the weekend. Just need 2 more card now for a H/C

I think breaking 100 was the best feeling of all the golf milestones. I remember floating off the course the first time i broke 100

Well done sir. Top tip though is to avoid looking at the card at all and working out in advance what doing such and such does in terms of the score. Just play one shot and one hole at a time

Oh ah, how comes it was only 0.8 cut. If you shot 93 playing off 28, should it of not been more.
