Medal Winner
Absolutely over the moon! Joined my first club at the end of April, having played the occasional round with some guys from work and becoming obsessed. It was my birthday on 7th July so I set that as a target to try and break 100.
I've been floating between 102-108 shots per round for the last month or so and couldn't seem to get any lower - my target wasn't looking good. Then had a game on Friday after an early finish, but wasn't looking forward to it as I had a huge blister on my right hand.
Then low and behold I shot 97, with 44 stableford points playing off 26. I expected to feel some relief and joy but I was literally jumping around and beaming like the Cheshire Cat.
My pal that I play with said that the big difference he saw in me was my course management was much better than previous rounds, plus my short game had improved massively. I also recorded 34 putts which I was really happy with.
If you made it this far, thanks!
