Just got back from tilgate forest after treating my dad to a fathers day round and finally beat him . There was one shot in it on the 18th tee and luckily I kept it in play for a par to win by 2.
Neither of us played particually well, however I am over the moon as I've made three of my 4 milestones for the year (also broke 100 and getting my first birdie on a par 4) just need to get cut from my 28 hc now to complete my first full season goals.

What goals have you set and how are they comming along?

well my two aims this year are not near coming yet i want to get to single figures and eagle our 18th par 5 489 all uphill which requires a fade off the tee and then a long iron which normally always plays into the wind

I remember writing a piece about playing and finally beating my old man for GM a few years back which they kindly published. Such a great feeling to finally have done it. Tilgate sounds a tricky course from what I've heard so well done. I wish he was still around to share things like my trip to meet Padraig but such is life. Hopefully this will be the start and you'll beat him regularly but expect him to come back all guns blazing next time and teach the whippersnapper a lesson

Cheers guys, still let him teach me to draw and fade, which he regretted due to the number of dog legs!
he's promised that it won't happen again, I'll be getting him a ping voucher and a v easy for Xmas!
